Cookie policy

What cookies are

Cookies are small pieces of data a website stores in your browser. We use them, and similar browser storage (like localStorage), for the purposes below.

Essential — always on

These keep you signed in, remember your cookie choice itself, and protect the site against abuse (e.g. our CSRF and session cookies, and Google's own cookies during sign-in if you use Google Sign-In). The Service can't function without them, so — like every site of this kind — they don't require your consent under GDPR/ePrivacy, though we still tell you about them here.

Analytics — off unless you turn it on

Would help us understand how the site is used, so we can improve it — page views, which searches return no results, that kind of thing. We don't run any analytics today; this category exists so your choice is already on record for if/when we do, rather than showing you a second banner later.

Marketing — off unless you turn it on

Would be used for ads or promotions. We don't run any advertising or marketing cookies today — the ad slots you may see on the site are our own house listings, not third-party ad-network cookies. Same reasoning as analytics above: the category is ready, not yet in use.

Managing your choice

You made a choice the first time you visited (or will be asked next time you do). You can change it at any time:

If you're signed in, your choice is saved to your account and applies across devices. If you're not signed in, it's remembered only in this browser.
